2014 Annual Meetingback
A meeting of CEI WMF Managers took place in Sofia, Bulgaria on 2-3 June, 2014 and focused on "Present position and development prospects of Wholesale Markets in CEE – Special workshop on the occasion of accession of Bulgaria to CEI WMF as the 9th CEI country".
Representatives from Croatia, Ukraine and Poland visited the Sofia Wholesale Market (www.ceiwmf.org/members/bulgaria/wholesale_market_sofia)
and the WM-Slatina (www.slatina-bulgarplod.com/) and had meetings with representatives of the Markets.
The workshop participants got acquainted with the Sofia Wholesale Market, its history and the present operations. The meeting was an opportunity to celebrate the accession of the Sofia Wholesale Market to the Foundation.
The participants also visited a production site – Natura Fit near Hisarya, with its production of dried fruits and vegetables (the Company profile and the product offer attached).
The Foundation official Annual Meeting on 2 June 2014 focused on the following issues:
• Approval of the Foundation 2013 Financial Statement and 2012 Report on Activities
• Adoption of a resolution on dismissal of a member of the Foundation Council – Mr. Dragan Pušara, who is no longer employed by the Belgrade Wholesale Market
• Adoption of a resolution on dismissal of a member of the Foundation Council – Mr. Josip Pocrnja, who is no longer employed by the Split Wholesale Market
• Adoption of a resolution on appointment of Mr. Mario Meštrović, Director of the Split WM, to be a member of the Foundation Council
• Discussion on the Foundation activities in 2014 and 2015 – the participants decided to have a study tour to Spanish WMs in 2H 2014 and postpone a visit to the Hamburg WM until 1H 2015.
Foundation new website
The Foundation new website is being designed. It will have new graphics and a new functionality in the Price Reporting system, as well as a new “Trade Platform” presenting the most current best offers from member WMs.
The Trade Platform will support the establishment/ strengthening of regional business relations among the Foundation members and external parties.
