Annual meeting 2009back

Representatives of the Foundation Management Board and the Programme Council from Croatia (NWMC and Rijeka, Split), Hungary (Budapest), Poland (Bronisze), Romania (Bucharest) and Ukraine (Lviv) had a joint meeting in Budapest on 1-2 October 2009.



The following issues were discussed during the two-day meeting:



1. The financial statements of the Management Board on the Foundation activity in January-August 2009.



2. The future activities of the Foundation in 2010.



The Management Board and the Programme Council approved a plan of activities of the Foundation for 2010, including:

• 21-25 March 2010 – workshops in Italy co-organised with FAO on issues connected with the Third Generation Wholesale Markets,

• October 2010 – workshops co-organized by Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina (alternative: Ukraine) on issues connected among others with producers organizations.



3. Approval of a new member in the Foundation.



The Foundation accepted a candidate for membership in the Foundation, i.e. the Prishtina Wholesale Market from Kosovo to become a Foundation member as of 1 January 2010.



4. Discussion on proposed amendments to the Statute of the Foundation.



The members of the Management Board and the Programme Council also had an opportunity to visit the Budapest Wholesale Market and to discuss the market new investment projects both recently implemented and the planned ones.
